About #StetChat
#StetChat is the spiritual successor to editor chats that have been hosted on Bluesky and OG Twitter (RIP). Every first and third Wednesday of the month at 4 p.m. ET / 1 p.m. PT, we’ll gather on Bluesky and talk about editing-related topics.
Sometimes we’ll have a guest for the chat and ask them questions about the type of editing they do. But often we won’t have a guest because we’ve found that sometimes the best chats unfold when anyone can answer the questions and share their different experiences. We’ll also try some new chat formats, like Red Flag Roulette, in which we’ll post questions about hypothetical red flag clients and editing situations, then we’ll all discuss how we’d deal with them!

- We support the creativity and dignity of human authors and artists.
- We fully support the Authors Guild’s guiding principles on AI and their guidance for publishers and editors on not using generative AI to edit manuscripts and not uploading or sharing authors’ manuscripts to AI tools.
- We just straight-up don’t use AI here! For better or worse, all this stuff is from our brains.
